This is from an old sketch book of my great great grandmother’s sister, Aunt Lydia. Likely of 19th century rural Connecticut. I enjoy Aunt Lydia’s use of shading throughout her drawings. And I like the man there relaxing on the roadside. The coolest dog I have seen. Another from Aunt Lydia’s sketch book. There are many, and maybe I will share more later, but this will do for now.
